Dear <<First Name>>,

Just a quick reminder of the Brighton & Hove Refugee Week 2020 planning meetings tomorrow, Friday 6 March and Saturday 7 March.  We still have a few spaces left, so please come along, if you are interested in being involved.

Refugee Week takes place around World Refugee Day on 20 June and is a mix of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary.

This year, the second weekend (19-21 June) again coincides with the Great Get Together, which brings people together and unites communities, inspired by Jo Cox and her belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

Here in Brighton & Hove, Refugee Week will open with an exhibition at the SEAS gallery on 14 June and end with a day of international food, music and creativity in the Brighton Dome on 21 June - with tons of exciting stuff in between. There are some great photos from last year on our Brighton Refugee Week Facebook page

If you are thinking of putting on an event, would like to perform, cook or run a creative workshop, or join our organising committee, please come to one of the planning meetings or email us at

The planning meetings will take place on

     Friday 6 March at 2-4pm
Saturday 7 March at 2-4 pm
SEAS gallery in the BMECP building, 10a Fleet Street. Brighton. BN1 4ZE

Please register via Eventbrite, as places are limited.

See you there!
