RJ (center in the "forgiven" shirt), and members of The Path Church, along with ATCC people Travis Hawkins, Courtland Brown and Nathan Martin.
Rodney Harris, "RJ," was baptized on Sunday, June 10th at The Path Church in Atlanta. RJ is a fourth-year construction science major at Tuskegee University, where he’s been a star track athlete and a football player. A native of Atlanta, RJ began attending The Path last year, and started studying the Bible after two of his friends got baptized. When he returned to Tuskegee University, he was connected with the ATCC and started studying the Bible with members there.
Sacrifice is the thematic word that best describes RJ’s spiritual journey. He sacrificed old habits, old friends, and old ways of thinking. He fought to repent. Despite the challenges he faced, he was always eager and always made himself available to meet up and go through scriptures. This eagerness and readiness to see justice done allowed him to overcome the obstacles. The work that God has done in transforming RJ’s heart is evident to his friends and family, and is a true testament to the Lord’s saving grace.
Many of our ATCC campus students are doing cool things for the summer. Gabrielle Taylor is in San Jose, California, working as an intern for Adobe Systems. Bryce Outten is interning with Lockheed Martin in Orlando. Jaylen Parks is at the University of Illinois doing research in reproductive toxicology. He is looking at the effects of phthaleates on embryonic development.

Timira Taylor is in another building at the University of Illinois doing a similar research project on how prenatal exposure to phthalates affects the neural development of infants. Josh Robinson is in Atlanta finishing his co-op with Delta Airlines as a liaison structure and systems engineer.
We are also thankful for those who have made arrangements to be here at the ATCC for the summer. Courtland Brown, Nathan Martin, Taylor Wilson, Devontia Jordan and Ethan Mobley are helping in all sorts of ways, with the campus ministry, with the singles, and with service projects.
