Gaining Experience through Summer Work
Several ATCC member are working in other states this summer.  We miss them, but we're excited to see what they are doing and learning.
Gabbi Taylor is working for AutoTrader in Atlanta.  "I am learnnig a lot about computer science and what it's like to work in corporate America," said Gabbi.  "I know so much more about the field that I aspire to go into now.  It has challenged me in so many ways and I am thankful for this amazing opportunity to work here."
Nathan Baraka just finished an internship at GE Aviation in Peebles, Ohio, a jet engine testing facility.  "I did test cell correlations and emissions tests," explained Nathan.  "Also I organized a safety awareness week for the entire facility with the other interns and rebuilt an old GE36  Unducted Fan engine. (The only one left in the world.)"

Nathan said he got a lot out of the summer, including the knowledge of jet engine testing, assembly, safety, components and how they work.  But he also had a great time with the church in Cincinnati.  "I made dozens of friends in the campus ministry and went to my first ICMC," he said.  "I learned a lot about leading Bible talks and studies and evangelism, as well as Bible knowledge."

Brielle Bryan- Erales is living at home in the Los Angeles area this summer, and working at both Chipotle and Abercrombie & Fitch,  "After working at these two places it makes me actually want to work in the corporate world!" she said.  "I want to actually do something related to my major, which is business administration.  But I'm learning how to push myself and remain humble from it this summer!"
Courtland Brown is working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.  "I have been here learning about fuel cells and how they are being used to advance society," he said.  "I have also learned a programming language."

We are proud of all of our campus students, and look forward to having them back with us next month!

Great Times at House Church
We have been having a great time in our midweek house churches this summer.  The picture above was taken at the Columbus House Church this past Wednesday evening.  The group had two visitors, plus Travis Hawkins has been joining them to encourage them.  Below is a scene from the Hames/McGinnis House Church -- Mitchell Moore and Chris Lucy applying their brains to solve a puzzle.

Send in a picture of your house church and we'll put it in the next newsletter.
