God has been answering prayers in a mighty ways at the ATCC.
We are excited that Travis Hawkins got a great job and will be staying in the area! Travis will be teaching kindergarten through third grade at Carver Elementary in Tuskegee, and coaching football, basketball and track at Notasulga High School.
We are also fired up that we will have an intern this fall! Graham Baskin, who is a member at the North River congregation, will be here working with campus for the semester. Graham comes highly recommended, and will be a tremendous asset to our ministry.
And then we have a seasoned couple moving in, whose wisdom and experience will strengthen our church. Javier and Inez Livio will arrive in Auburn on August 3rd or 4th. The Livios are empty nesters from the LA church. They have two adult children, Karen, 26, and Sabastian, 21. Javier will be working on his doctorate in computer science at AU.
In Columbus, God has opened a door for Misha Aldridge to go from part time to full time working for the Phenix City school system. This is especially encouraging because Misha does not yet have her teaching certification (she'll be working on it), but the district created a space for her to work as a paraprofessional, teaching coding to 6th and 7th graders. And, of course, Misha will still coach softball!
The Wiregrass House Church (Enterprise) recently received a couple of big boosts. Gary and Dee Adams, who are members at North River, bought a house in the Enterprise area that will be their part time residence, and are attending house church meetings. Also, Sandra Thompson, a disciple from Killeen, Texas, just moved to Enterprise with her family. Sandra's husband, Seth, is a soldier stationed at Fort Rucker. The couple has two children, Sophia, 15, and Ethan, 7.
God is so faithful to provide what we need at the right time. Misha's statement about her new job summarizes what we all feel, "I can't express how truly amazing God is. I know only he could have set these plans."
