The Tuskegee sisters have started holding a Women's Bible Talk on campus every Monday at 7:30 p.m.
"Women's Bible Talk started early last semester and has allowed the Tuskegee women to meet so many girls on campus and reach out to them," said Gabbi Taylor, who had the initial vision for the event.
The group usually meets in Harvey Hall, but this week they did "Dorm Runs."
"We hosted Bible talks in different women's dorms to get them to come out and seek God in the comfort of their own home," explained our new TU sister, Sydney Clayborn. "Dorm Run Week has been very impactful because normally we only meet once a week, but we made the decision to meet daily. It has attracted some new faces and women who want to seek God. This has made a difference in spreading the Word, but also in taking it upon ourselves to make time to reach out even more and get out of our own comfort zone."
The TU sisters are excited that the Bible Talk is taking off. "God has truly blessed by allowing us to have Women's Bible Talk," said Gabbi. "It has been an amazing year!"
Sydney added, "My hope is that we get more women who are truly on fire for Christ and are ready to serve and take up the lifestyle and attitude of Jesus."
OYC Candidate Visits
Flor Campos, from the Harlem Region of the New York City Church of Christ, visited the ATCC this past weekend, along with her friends, Rachel Hinton and Natalie Siregar. Flor is considering doing the One Year Challenge (OYC), and was surveying Auburn as a possible location to do the Challenge.
"Flor's interest in doing a OYC stems from a heart that wants to serve God and the His kingdom at this time in her life while she is single and has more free time," Women's Ministry Leader Marge Gross explained.
The New York sisters made instant friends with ATCC members, and everyone had a super time fellowshipping and hanging out. "Their visit was as encouraging to them as it was to the ATCC," said Marge.
The ATCC is deeply grateful for Flor, Rachel and Natalie coming to spend time with the ministry. (Flor is wearing red in the pictures below.)
