The ATCC had a wonderful weekend with Mike Johnson in town conducting a Financial Workshop. The weekend kicked off with a married get together at Bill and Alicia Hames' place. Everyone enjoyed a mighty fine gumbo cooked by Bill. (And tweaked by Marisha Atkins!) Afterwards, Mike gave the group great insights on finances and led a lively discussion. On Sunday, the Financial Workshop was a huge hit, and we all learned a great deal.
THIS WEEK'S MEMORY SCRIPTURES (Also review our last lesson on The Word)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matt 16:18
Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." John 3:3
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
What can you cook? Who can you bring? What can you wear? On Sunday, October 21, we'll be having an epic International Meal for our Lord's Supper fellowship. Please sign up with Ines Livio to bring food from a different country. Then, invite your friends to come and join us. And wear something ethnic if you can!
