We're celebrating the holiday together! Bring a chair and meet at Duck Samford Park, 1600 E University Road, at 6 PM for the City of Auburn's Fourth of July venue. The event will be popular, so don't wait too long to arrive. Bring your own festive fare, or take advantage of the food that will be sold by local vendors, including Country's BBQ, Drive-by Tacos, Dumps Like a Truck, Hot Dog Express, Kona Ice, Sani-Freeze and Scoops Real Italian Ice. There will be live musical entertainment starting at 7 p.m. by Mojiles, who will play Top 40 Country Hits, 70’s Classics, 80’s Rock, and Top 40 Dance music. The main attraction, fireworks, are slated to start at 9 PM.
The new sermon series on the book of Exodus starts this Sunday.
Many good memories were made this past week, and pictures from some of our activities are below. A group of campus students and singles came down from our sister church, North River. Some attended a devotional Friday evening. A larger contingent went whitewater rafting on Saturday. (Not shown.) Many attended Sunday service. And a lot of them went bowling after church on Sunday! Also, Brian Dickerson is seen here giving our communion talk. Kid's kingdom members are practicing drinking like dogs, as per the Bible story of Gideon. Nate Johnson is celebrating his birthday. Our women are having a great time at Women's Midweek in Auburn.
