New Audio Books

Do you enjoy listening to books while you work or drive? For you, is hearing a book easier than reading one?

There are many reasons people enjoy audio books, which is why I am trying to make all of my books available in that format.

Here are three new additions to my audio-book lineup:

Song of the Ovulum - Book #1 in the Children of the Bard series
From the Mouth of Elijah - Book #2 in the Children of the Bard series
Wanted: A Superhero to Save the World - Standalone book for ages 8 to 12

For the month of February, I have put these three and many other audio books on sale on my website. Check them out here -

Tales of Starlight on Sale

I recently ran out of copies of Third Starlighter and Exodus Rising, books #2 and #3 of Tales of Starlight. I reprinted both titles with my new Scrub Jay Journeys logo, and to celebrate, through the end of February, I am putting all three books on sale at really low prices--$8 for each paperback or $20 for the entire trilogy.

You can also buy them in hardcover for $5 more each. (I am out of hardcover copies of Exodus Rising, but you can order it now, and I will ship when they arrive.)

If you haven't read this series, I hope you will take this opportunity to try it out.

Here is the purchase link -

Nationwide Spring Tour

I will be speaking and selling books at the homeschool conferences listed below. You don't have to be a homeschooler to come. Some conferences require an admission charge, though many of them allow for free vendor shopping on Thursday evenings. Check the conference websites for details.

If you are in one of these areas and have a group that would like an author talk, please reply to this email and we'll see if we can set something up.

Testimony Time:

I’m guessing we all have moments in time when we are spiritually at a low ebb. Ironically, Christmas day was one of those low points for me. I was toast. However, during the course of reading The Candlestone I couldn’t help but be re-energized by the very same power and Spirit that are the source of strength for young Bonnie, The Professor and Billy.

Yes, the book is far more “Christian” than the previous book, but it turned out great for this old boy that it was so. The reliance of the characters in scripture and on the basic principles of foundational Christian doctrine helped to remind me of the foundations of my own faith. There was enough scripture (without constant Bible references) and enough power in the “imagined” prayers – though I’m sure that large parts of those prayers are prayed every day somewhere by someone – that the prose sparked my own faith and continued to bring my mind back to my Savior and his wonderful love. - Phillip
