I have the cover and other images in this month's Texas Highways, the cover and other images in the September Texas Highways, a Dallas Calendar through Costco, a book cover, three images in Texas Highways 2016 Wall Calendar, a spread and interview in Cowboys and Indians Magazine, the cover of the International Organization for Migration, a two page spread in Backpacker Magazine, the Texas Highways "Rear View", an interview and spread in the Dallas Observer, plus a write up in the Central Track blog and viral Facebook post for my pictures of Big Tex at the lunar eclipse. SPRING IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY - April 7-10, 2016


It is looking like a great spring in the Texas Hill Country, as winter rains have created a bumper crop of wildflowers, flowing streams, and happy songbirds. Join me at wonderful Block Creek Natural Area south of Fredericksburg for an intimate workshop in the heart of the Hill Country. We will have access to bird photo blinds, flowing streams, wildflowers, windmills and more within a few hundred feet from your bedroom. Space is limited, so contact me ASAP! FEATHEFEST BIRDING FESTIVAL
Galveston, Texas April 14-17, 2016
 

Featherfest is April 14-17, 2016 in beautiful Galveston, Texas. It is one of the biggest bird festivals around, and it has an awesome track of photographer classes and trips to nearby birding hotspots and Galveston locations. With photographers like myself, Kathy Adams Clark, Larry Ditto, Scott Buckel, Kevin Karlson, and Tim Timmis, it is a whirlwind four days and a bargain opportunity for a bird photographer. 


"BABES AND BLOOMS" 
Vermejo Park Ranch, New Mexico- July 10-14, 2016

ermejo Park Ranch is one of America's largest privately owned properties and a conservation jewel, with almost 600,000 acres of prime habitat, ranging from shortgrass prairies of New Mexico to snow-capped peaks in Colorado, and huge populations of elk, bear, bison and more. In July, join me for the "Babes and Blooms" Workshop at Vermejo to photograph newborn wildlife amidst the summer blooms of Vermejo's mid and high elevation mountain prairies. Expert guide and naturalist James Reidy will help us explore all that Vermejo has to offer! Babes and Blooms Workshop.

     


PRAIRIES, MEADOWS, MOUNTAINS and GHOST TOWNS!
Vermejo Park Ranch, New Mexico- August 12-16

Join me August 12-16, 2016 for the "Life on the Praire (Prairies, Meadows, Mountains and Ghost Towns) Photo Workshop where we will look for bison in rut, elk and bear, from the mountain to the shortgrass prairies of Vermejo. Expert guide and naturalist James Reidy will help us explore all that Vermejo has to offer. An optional two day extension will focus on night-time light painting of Vermejo's magical ghost towns.  Prairie, Meadows, Mountains and Ghost Towns.

      


ELK RUT AND AUTUMN ASPEN TOUR

I just added an exciting new workshop at Vermejo Park Ranch for the an Autumn workshop to photograph the abundant Vermejo elk in rut, accompanied by expert guides who will get us very close, along with fall landscapes and mountainsides of aspens.
