Peggy’s Ponderings
I was talking to a friend the other day. We were sharing with each other and I was talking about all the churches I had attended. All of a sudden I said, “I guess I was looking for something but I never found it.” Then later, thinking about it, I realized what it was - ACCEPTANCE. I was always told to be what they wanted me to be. I always felt very unhappy and miserable, plus I always felt alone. I never smiled and I didn’t want to. I always felt like I didn’t fit in. I can tell you this, that is not a good feeling. The first Sunday I came to a service not knowing what to expect. I was terrified but there was something that kept me coming. As I said, I didn’t know what is was. One of the ladies said, “Be yourself, if they don’t accept you than they have a problem.” I may have gotten the wording wrong but for the first time I knew I was accepted for who I was. I found myself smiling and that made me feel so good inside. I know that God sent me here. I know I keep saying this but I dearly love all of you. You all have been a God Send. Bless you all!!!
