To our friends at First Lutheran,

Thank you for your help with the free community dinner at Grace United Methodist Church in West Tulsa. Grace is a tiny church with only about 12 active members but they have faithfully prepared a free dinner every month for many years. This is an opportunity to feed and fellowship with up to 70 members of their community each month.

In February, members of First and Servant's Table prepared sloppy joe's (30 lbs. of hamburger!), tater tots, green beans, brownies, and fried cherry pies for about 60 people. We not only served the food but we ate with the folks in attendance. There was food leftover for some folks to take home and enjoy another hot meal that week.

God's peace, your friends at Servant's Table

"For it is in giving that we receive."
-St. Francis of Assisi
The before dinner devotion at Grace. More people showed up and more tables had to be procured.
Lots of Manwich for the sloppy joes!

  This is Me
I have written a lot about myself grow up. But I am going a different direction. I am going to talk about me today. I have changed a lot of ways but this past week I have really gotten on to myself. A few weeks ago, I wrote down some issues I was dealing with and gave them to God. I said, “Ok, I am not going to worry about them anymore.” So what happens? All my outlets go out in the kitchen but two. Then my commode starts leaking around the bottom and my car breaks down. So what do I do? I freak out, get upset and say again, “Why me, O Lord?” Why does it seem when something goes wrong, we forget we gave our troubles to God and take them back? As I was praying to God last night, I kept saying, "Why do I keep doing this?” If any of you have done this then you know what I’m talking about. I know a lot comes from past abuse and closing myself off. I know I drive the Pastor crazy sometimes with my “WHY” questions. God bless him, he is so patient. But all any of us can do is strive to get closer to God. I have to admit it is hard to change old habits, as old as I am. But I am paying very hard to change. I won’t give up. I have come too far. Thanks all of you for your love and patience.

What is REFIT ®?
REFIT® is a life-changing group fitness experience that rocks your body, heart, and soul with powerful moves and positive music, to inspire you from the inside out. Powered by human connections, we turn boring “have-to” workouts into a “can’t-miss” community fitness experience. REFIT® classes propel students to be their best selves though dance, toning, balance & flexibility, modifying moves as needed for your body. Workouts are designed for everybody and every body – regardless of age, shape size or ability.
What makes REFIT® different from _________ (insert what you have heard of here)?
REFIT® is different because the fitness experience centers around helping people change from the inside. This is evident in the positive messaging in the music we use, time at the end of each class for inspiration and encouragement, and a high value placed on connecting people with each other.
Music may include (but is not limited to) top-40 radio (with clean lyrics) including Meghan Trainor, Janet Jackson, Pitbull, Justin Timberlake; popular Christian artists, including Mandisa, TobyMac, MercyMe, and SO much more.
