First Annual WAvNA Awards
Celebrating Individuals
Neighborhood Improvements
Dear Neighbor,

The West Avenue Neighborhood Association (WAvNA) is proud to be at the forefront of many positive changes in our neighborhood, including: prohibition of hostels, prohibition of hotels, limit alcohol hours to 2:00am, expand residential parking zone on Bay Road, pedestrian yield signs, add speed limit signs, landscape street-ends and Dade Blvd, camouflage pump stations, create first protected bike lane, and add trash cans.

And WaVNA successfully negotiated terms with business owners to mitigate noise and traffic  – The Marriot Hotel, the upcoming restaurant at The Grande Flamingo, and 1215 condo-hotel.

We will continue to offer our recommendations with the best intentions for the neighborhood.

The next WAvNA meeting will be a very important discussion item, please participate, Tuesday, Feb 5th, 6:30pm.
