Vote "NO" November 5th
Referendum Question #6 Affects Our Neighborhood
Referendum question #6 affects our neighborhood and WAvNA urges you to vote NO against increasing density because,1) it will add 33% density, 2) there was no public meeting for open discussion, 3) it is unnecessary and no logical reason given to implement this.

Referendum question #6:

"Shall City adopt Ordinance increasing FAR to 2.0 for buildings in CD2, along Washington Avenue and Alton Road, if more than 25% of the building area is used for offices?"

Our neighbors at Flamingo Park Neighborhood Assoc are also officially opposing Question #6.
500 Alton Developer Appeals Development Agreement
Project Requesting Additional Density, 100,000+ square feet
Public Park Delayed

What we know - 1) The developer filed an appeal with the Board of Adjustment to increase FAR. 2) The City has engaged legal counsel to help present the strongest possible opposition to this appeal,  3) This appeal, and any other ridiculous appeal, postpones the creation of the public park phase I per the Development Agreement from 18 months to 48 months. 3) The appeal is being heard at the Board of Adjustment Nov 1, 2019, 9:00am.
