1. Inspector General Report about West Avenue Renovation, Lincoln Road Pump Station.

2. Mooring Field Report - The unregulated anchorage area, located in Biscayne Bay, negatively impacts sea grass and water quality. Boat anchors drag along the sea floor and kill the sea grass. Sea grass adds oxygen to the water to help prevent algae blooms. Also, some boats are dumping raw sewage into the Bay. A mooring field would manage these issues.

The first phase would be 50 moored boats next to Sunset Harbour. However, WAvNA feels it is imperative that this project be developed for the entire South Beach area of Biscayne Bay. We also recommend that a Harbour Master facility be a required part of the mooring field design. Only with onsite enforcement of rules and regulations, will issues be properly and expeditiously addressed.

The report makes no mention of how the facility will be expanded. The West Avenue Neighborhood was very much looking forward to being included in the mooring field extending, without procrastination, from Sunset Harbour to 5th Street.
