Well, it was back to a little bit of snow here in Southwestern Ontario recently after some truly amazing spring weather. Needless to say that that was enough to drive our focus on some new products.

1. "Modeler's Corner "...
Last month, I mentioned we always enjoy seeing our products being built by modellers all over the globe.
Again this month we received a few more photos from our friend Markus Merz, all the way over in Switzerland (he probably still has snow).
In his photos below, he's used our HO scale Modular Wall System and our Brick Wall Panel Kits to create this neat industry with multiple tracks passing through.
Markus has coined the term "Freestyling" for his efforts in kitbashing our ITLA products. We love that term and his foresight in combining our modular kits.
He easily added two upper floor sections to our stock 4 story Modular Wall kits (U tube video ref) and created an impressive 6 story main structure.
Then he used 4 of our 4.5" wide Brick Wall Panel Kits to build the tiered section between the two tall structural elements, and over his tracks.
This is a great way to disguise track passing trough a backdrop or wall. He's also fabricated roof panels which carry two of our N & HO Multiscale HVAC kits.

Doors, Window Frames, Staircase, Roof Access Ladder, Junction Box and Conduit parts are all cut from Laserboard.
Beautifully detailed staircase features see-through step treads and landing.
Walls with "Tight Fit" interlocking corners are laser engraved in our MDF wood. Window and Door openings feature laser engraved "brick returns" as seen on the painted HO scale model above.
Both models include a colour instruction sheet with warning signs.

We've been quietly working away for some time now at our next "Signature Series" Industrial Kit.
Based upon the feedback provided in our website poll, the majority of you like to model between the 1940's and 1970's. So we're listening!
This HO scale kit will represent a "modernized" industry, depicting a new manufacturer that's bought out an older business. It can be built in the late 1940's transition era, or as if it were operating well into the 1970's and beyond. It's envisioned to have service tracks embedded in pavement.
At least a dozen configurable building footprints will support the Shelf Modeler, Diorama or Layout Builder.
Our ITLA design will allow for multiple structure footprints ... from fully-enclosed to shallow relief formats ... up to 36" long!
Angular wall formats are also possible!
This is just 1 of the 12 footprint configurations we are developing on our ITLA workbench right now!
Pictured below is the above Shallow Relief footprint at 29" long, featuring 4 truck loading docks and one rail car access dock into the structure.
"On Our Bench" ... We're finalizing the many details and features which will be included in this premium Signature Series kit. Roof top, wall and ground level details will make this a very unique kit.
