Hi there,

Happy New Year! It's a time for reflection as well as a time for looking forward and planning – especially when there's snow in the forecast. Here are few things I wanted to share with you this week:
  • The Mercer Island Reporter published a "Year in Review" – a round-up of Mercer Island's biggest news stories of 2019.
  • Check out our local business year in review. We share what businesses opened, closed, and what's in store for 2020. Plus, find out the 2019 Mercer Island Business of the Year recipient, awarded by the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce.
  • Here's our latest market update with monthly real estate stats, sold properties, and a design spotlight – this month, we're featuring stunning interior design work by Brian Paquette Interiors.
  • The City completed its purchase of the "Tully's site" – a long-awaited step toward building a commuter parking and mixed-use development at the property in advance of the 2023 East Link Light Rail opening. (Mercer Island Reporter)
  • If better health is one of your New Year's resolutions, check out our Fitness Guide for a complete list of Mercer Island's fitness studios and health clubs.
  • Upcoming events include: Mercer Island Art Walk (tonight!); The Great Gatsby presentation at the library; Parent Edge presentation with Rosetta Lee: "Who We Are: Identity, Inclusion and Allyship;" Beat the Winter Blues Senior Lunch; book readings; chocolate classes; and more.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Charlie and I have clients looking to rent a home on the south end of Mercer Island in the Lakeridge school district. They would prefer an updated property of around 3,000 square feet or more. Please email me if you know of any possibilities.
