We would like to thank all of you for your patience and feedback while we navigated both curbside services and building access. It is because of your cooperation that starting on November 2nd, we will be expanding our hours and providing additional access for our community when it is needed most. One big change is Saturday curbside hours. Please read below for an update to our hours and additional information.
Curbside pickup will be available:
Monday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (additional hour)
Tuesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (additional hour)
Wednesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (additional 3 hours)
Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (additional hour)
Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (additional hour)
Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (additional day)
You will be notified via email or phone call that your reserved item(s) are available to pick up. Please remember that this may take up to 24 hours.
Please give us a call when you are in the parking lot for pickup.
Access and computer appointments will be available:
Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (additional 2 hours)
Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Patrons must ring the doorbell upon their arrival as doors will be locked.
Masks are required to enter the building and must be properly worn during your visit.
Disposable masks will be available if you don’t have one.
For those patrons who cannot wear a mask, we will gladly pull the items you would like to borrow. Please give us time to do so as staff members may be busy assisting other patrons or processing curbside pickups.
Hand sanitizer must be used upon entering the Library and will be available throughout the Library.
6 patrons are allowed in the building at any time.
If possible, please browse the online catalog before your visit. This way visits can be made in a timely manner. We do have an iPad available to search the catalog if needed.
We encourage families to designate one person to conduct library business for their family.
If we are at capacity, you will be asked to wait outside in the designated areas.
Baskets have been placed in the children’s area for any unwanted materials that were touched by little hands.
Please know that our priority remains the safety of our patrons and the staff of the Barrington Public Library. Our reopening plan was designed in a way that allows us to move forward (or backwards, but let's hope this won't happen!). Our reopening plan also takes into consideration the guidelines and recommendations given by the Governor and the State’s Universal Guidelines, the CDC, and the Reopening NH Libraries Task Force.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 603-664-9715. Thank you for your continued patience, support and cooperation!
