Another week has gone by in this ever changing world of ours!

The RIMPA team are missing each other extremely but we are keeping the spirit alive by interacting on many different platforms in many different ways. You will find a quick update below on some exciting news and information on some upcoming virtual training opportunities and events.

RIMPA Community – An exciting new member benefit!

We know the value that RIMPA members put on the networking and educational opportunities throughout the year.  To build on that value, we are excited to enter into this new phase of member communications by providing RIMPA members an environment to connect, engage and share critical industry information and best practices in real time. 

RIMPA Community is the new term for what many of us used to know as the Listserv. RIMPA have purchased world recognised Community Management software via Higher Logic  which supports our CRM - membership platform in Membes.

This new community will also help RIMPA communicate more dynamically with our members, by responding more quickly to your needs and receiving your input on critical industry issues.  This will only strengthen our ability to implement our mission to advance, connect and encourage excellence in records and information management while advocating the values of the profession.

Through the committee and other forums, members can gather to continue discussions and problem solving and share documents that will help our industry. 

RIMPA Community will provide you more than just emails back and forth as did the previous Listserv, you will be able to:
  • Set up small secured communities where you can converse with a selected group of people
  • Opt in and out of selected topics or conversation chains
  • Select daily, live or weekly notifications of conversations
  • Have access to online resource libraries of previous communications to be used when studying, writing business cases, preparing presentations, etc.
RIMPA is an evolving community.  We will introduce new tools in the coming weeks to enhance your experience and deliver a new member benefit you can't do without.

Webinars Coming Soon

RIMPA have just purchased “Go to Meeting” Webinar Tool to allow us to run professional and regular webinars for up to 500 participants. The tool allows us to have various presenters and or panellists in the one webinar. The staff are currently investigating all the functionality available to us in readiness to deploy in May.
We anticipate that webinars will be free to RIMPA members and a nominal cost will be charged to non-members. The aim of the webinars is to maintain member professional development opportunities and benefits.
To move IAM from May to July is not a decision that RIMPA can make on their own, as this month is celebrated in various countries across the world. It is agreed that IAM will remain in May and the Australian IAM Collaborative Committee have organised a webinar on Friday 1st May to launch the month. The webinar is being hosted by the IIM platform and is free to all members of the collaborating entities. The topic of the webinar is working in a changing environment and invitations to register have already been sent to RIMPA members. 

Online Training

As most of you may be aware, RIMPA has started to deliver training workshops delivered via videoconferencing. These sessions have been extremely popular so book in now as spots are filling!

Upcoming Sessions:

Developing Classification Schemes (14/04/20)
Records Management 101 (21/04/20)
Developing a records management strategic plan (23/04/20)
Implementing and upgrading your eDRMS (28/04/20)
Developing a risk management matrix in readiness for digitisation (12/05/20)

The member rate for each session is $230.00 (Ex GST). Each session is between 3.5 – 4 hours. The non-member rate is $350.00 (Ex GST) per session.

All attendees receive an invite before the training begins.
