Candid Conversations from the RIMPA Team
We have been working hard to develop virtual platforms to enable the delivery of member services and just had a thought after attending a few webinars that it is important that I make sure the staff are dealing with working in a virtual environment. I am personally struggling with the inability to verbally converse with my colleagues when ever I feel like it or just have general conversation. I am also mindful that we need to create a whole new approach to our communications and we will be introducing morning video meetings, informal communications tools such as Slack and try and include some fun into each day. Our main aim is to remain motivated and enthused while working from home. I am sharing my house with my husband and possibly soon a son in a work from home environment and I have the dining room table with the Italian red and white tablecloth, while my husband has the office and son is in a bedroom.
I now have three separate entities working from the one household and all holding webinars and video conferences. We are a loud family normally, so you can only imagine the noise levels when we are all on line at meetings. I already miss my staff and the interaction, but I know I have to adapt and support this working change as it is not going away soon.
