2022 Resiliency Workshop Recap!

American Planning Association-Central Texas Section was able to collaborate with the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Economic Development Program to offer a day-long workshop on resiliency. This workshop, held on February 15th, offered both in-person and virtual sessions that focused on all aspects of community and economic resiliency. The workshop hosted seven subject matter experts to speak on subjects that ranged from local governments and reliance policy, cybersecurity, climate-related resiliency, and geo-spatial analysis planning for resiliency. In the spirit of economic resilience, the event was held in the historic Ice House in downtown Bryan that had recently been revitalized as an event venue and the workshop catering was sourced from small businesses from across the region. This workshop was able to offer attendees 5.25 CM AICP credits, including the newly required Sustainability & Resilience Credit.
