Central Texas APA Newsletter 

December Community & Regional Planning Employer Focus Group & Lunch - PLANNERS NEEDED!
What: Annual focus group hosted by CRP faculty to gather feedback from the employers or coworkers of CRP graduates
When: Friday, December 9th or 16th from 10:00am to 12:30pm
Where: TBD
Why: This feedback helps provide important information to be reported to the Planning Accreditation Board when the CRP program is up for accreditation in spring 2024.

If you are willing to participate, please reach out to Ming Zhang, Ph.D. (Professor and CRP Program Director) and his assistant Ms. Andrea Duong, indicating which times you are available. 
3/3/23 Community & Regional Planning Career Day - PLANNERS NEEDED!
What: UT CRP is inviting representatives from public agencies, private firms, and non-profit organizations to meet and engage with students
When: Friday, March 3rd, 2023
Where: TBD

11/11 UT Campus Planning Event Recap
On Friday, November 11, 2022, the Central Texas Section hosted a one-hour CM credit event on the University of Texas at Austin campus that featured Jim Walker (UT Director of Sustainability) and Brent Stringfellow (UT Director of Campus Planning & University Architect). Over 20 students and planning professionals from the Section attended the event. The speakers focused on UT campus planning and what it looks like to plan for the 40 Acres and beyond. A happy hour networking event was held at the Spiderhouse afterwards.

Next Board Meeting

The Central Texas Section Boards meets via Zoom every month. The next meeting is Tuesday, December 20th at 12:00 PM. Please contact Allison Kay for more information or to listen into these meetings.
