Don't wait until the last minute!

House concert seats are limited, as are workshop spaces. You MUST reserve in advance for workshops, private lessons and house concerts. Dance tickets are available at the door, but are cheaper if you purchase in advance online before Friday midnight.

House Concert - Friday April 19 - 7:30pm

Doors open at 7, concert at 7:30. Hosted by Debbie and Gary at 138 Chimo Drive in Kanata. BYOB and bring a little something for the snack table if you wish. To reserve seats contact gary.palmer@unb.ca. Suggested donation of $20 payable at the door.  
 

Fiddle Workshops - Saturday April 20 

Workshops will focus on Cape Breton technique. Tunes will be selected by participants from the Ottawa Cape Breton Session tune collection. 
10am - noon: Slow Jammers
1:30- 3:30: Advanced fiddle technique
Each workshop is $25. If coming for both sessions you can bring a bag lunch, or there are several restaurant options in the area. You must register in advance for workshops - email gary.palmer@unb.ca. 
 

Private Lessons in Fiddle and Piano

Dara MacDonald and Adam Young will be available for private fiddle and piano lessons on Friday April 19. If you are interested in a private lesson (Cape Breton fiddle and accompaniment style) please contact Gary gary.palmer@unb.ca. Private lessons are $50 for one hour. 
 

Square Dance - Saturday April 20 - 7:30pm

Kick up your heels at a traditional Cape Breton style square dance. No experience necessary, the three simple figures of the most common Cape Breton square sets will be called and there will be lots of friendly helpful folks to make sure you are going in the right direction. Tickets are $15 (plus service charge) in advance (button at top of message) or $20 cash at the door. Youth 16 and under $10 online or in advance. Montgomery Legion 330 Kent St. Ottawa. Third floor - wheelchair accessible (elevator). Cash bar.

Friday April 26- 7:00 pm Kemptville/North Gower

Hosted in the lovely log home of Jen and Dan Hood the location is ten minutes from Kemptville, 15 minutes from North Gower and not far from Burritt's Rapids. Lots of parking and space for kids to play in the basement during the concert, and a big kitchen for dancing in. Bring along your instrument for a jam session following the show. Saturday April 27 - 7:30 pm Orleans

Just off Jeanne D'Arc near Orleans Blvd,  this event is hosted by Catherine Fair, well known as a concert host for many Canadian fiddlers. Address details given with reservation confirmation. Doors open at 7pm. Contact cbsession@cbsession.com. 
 

Saturday May 11 - 7:30 pm Kanata

Doors open at 7. Hosted by the very welcoming Debbie Watson and Gary Palmer just off Katimavik Dr.  Parking is on nearby side streets or across Katimavik in the corner of the shopping centre parking lot. To reserve seats contact gary.palmer@unb.ca. 

Back from a year as the lead fiddler in the Toronto production of the the hit Broadway Musical Come From Away, Anna Ludlow is ready to rock the house with a high-energy performance of traditional Celtic music that will have you dancing in the halls and singing along.
