MS811 December News & Events

December is the 12th & final month of the Gregorian calendar and the 1st month of winter. It derives it's name from the Latin word decem, meaning ten, as December was the tenth month of the oldest Roman calendar. The Latin name is derived from Decima, the middle Goddess of the Three Fates who personifies the present. According to babycenter.com, “December” has been the 13,414th most popular name for a baby girl in the US this year. More Apple Watches are sold in December than any other month. In the US, December is National Fruitcake Month, National Eggnog Month, National Tie Month and National Pear Month. Christmas Eve is the day preceding Christmas Day, the widely celebrated annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
