October is the tenth month in the Gregorian calendar, received its name from the Latin numeral octo meaning "eight", because in the original Roman calendar it was the eighth month. October's flower is the Calendula & gemstone is Opal. Columbus Day is celebrated the second Monday every October. It is also the month in which the most US Presidents were born. October 5, 1947, President Truman made the 1st presidential telecast address from the White House & October 20th is World Statistics Day. These are a few fun facts for this month.
