Dear Proud Lilywhites
The committee met by conference call on 19 September 2016. You can read the full minutes here. These were the key points:
You may have seen the extensive media coverage last week of the launch of Stonewall’s rainbow laces campaign. The rainbow laces game involving Spurs should be the away match versus Chelsea on Saturday 26 November. More details to follow, but we’ll be working hard with Spurs – and the Chelsea LGBT group – to ensure maximum support for the campaign.
Our co-chair Chris Paouros and match-day co-ordinator Philip Barber will be travelling to Leverkeusen for the Champions League game and they plan to meet up with the Bayer Leverkeusen LGBT group while they’re there. Please do let us know if you’re planning to travel to Leverkeusen and would like to meet up!
The first pre-match social at the Blue Bar before the Sunderland game went very well. A number of Proud Lilywhites attended and it was great to see some new faces! We look forward to seeing you at the next one – don’t forget to sign up to the Facebook events!
Our meeting with THFC Executive Director Donna-Maria Cullen was postponed and will be rescheduled as soon as possible. We look forward to discussing our strategy for joint work during the forthcoming season.
Chris and Simon
Co-chairs, Proud Lilywhites
