Football v Homophobia Month of Action — be the 12th player; a fan of diversity

Dear <<First Name (required)>>, February is all about Football v Homophobia’s month of action to tackle discrimination and raise awareness in football.  This co-incides with the 10th anniversary of LGBT History Month and our first anniversary.

To celebrate we have collaborated with our partners and the Club to set up a series of events for us all to enjoy and meet new LGBT Spurs fans.

Everything has been tailored to make the most of being an official fan group including socialising, playing and watching football, meeting Spurs players and campaigning to raise awareness and kick homophobia out of football.

There will be one or two surprises along the way, which we hope, will leave you proud to be a Proud Lilywhite.

COYS!

Chris & Darryl, Co-Chairs

1st February: Proud Lilywhites vs Gay Gooners Pub Quiz.

We will be hosting a pub quiz with the Gay Gooners at the Beehive Pub, Bruce Grove, Tottenham on Sunday February 1st at 6pm. Come along and join one of the quiz teams or bring some friends and make a team of your own.

Let’s get ready to do battle against the other lot.  Feel free to show your team colours and wear your team kit shirt — particularly those sporting a cockerel!

You don't need to register, but it will help us if you do.

3rd February: Let battle commence - 5-a-side vs Gay Gooners!

In conjunction with Spurs we have arranged a 5-a-side football match between us and the Gay Gooners. This will take place on Tuesday February 3rd at 2pm in Tottenham. We’re really excited to announce that the game will be refereed by a current first team player and each of our players will be provided with a souvenir t-shirt.

We will be fielding a mixed gender team and want as many of our members as possible to have the opportunity to play. If you’d like to take part (go on!) please register below.

Players must be a Proud Lilywhites member to take part, which of course you are otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this, but if you know other LGBT Spurs fans who’d like to take part, ask them to sign up here.

7th February: Kick it out ‘Season of Action’ game

Tottenham’s annual Kick it Out ‘Season of Action’ game is on Saturday February 7th at White Hart Lane, against, Arsenal!

We will run a stall in Tottenham Square in advance of the game to promote Proud Liywhites and to campaign against homophobia.  We have received funding from the Premier League for materials to distribute on the day which will include Rainbow ‘rock’ sweets; stickers and leaflets, so we need as many of you to volunteer to help out.

For those of you that do there will be a chance to have your photo taken pitch-side with a Spurs legend at the beginning of the day.

If you can come along please register to get involved.  We will need to meet at White Hart Lane at 10.30am. We’ll have the photo and will then need to spread the message in advance of the lunchtime kick-off.. If you don’t have a ticket for the match, don’t worry, we will be watching the game together in a nearby pub.
