dlr Arts Office is delighted to present this solo exhibition of newly commissioned work by Susan Connolly, curated by Rowan Sexton. 
 
The Exhibition Learning Programme includes several gallery tours and a series of Azure tours, especially welcoming to people with dementia and their families.  There are also free creative workshops for children with TOG Hackerspace. 
 
On Wednesday 14 October at 1.15pm – 2.15pm visitors will have an opportunity to hear Susan Connolly in conversation with Dougal McKenzie, lecturer in Painting at the University of Ulster.

dlr Arts Office is delighted to invite applications for Arts Grants for activity taking place throughout 2016. Funding is available for events and projects, participation and learning, professional development and arts practice support.  Art Access Grants are also available for Youth Projects and arts activities involving older people.

Explore ideas about ‘home and community’ in this engaging children's workshop with architect/artist Blaithin Quinn. In this workshop, specially developed for Open House Dublin, participants will design and make their own 3D 'home' through creative play, discussion and experimentation with diverse art materials.

As part of dlr's Social Inclusion Week 2015 a special recording of some of the new radio drama made by White Cane Audio Theatre will be presented. White Cane Audio Theatre are a group of blind and visually impaired participants from NCBI led by theatre director/devisor Ciarán Taylor with radio programme maker and composer Rachel Ní Chuinn.  This performance is supported by the HSE.

Dementia Programme 

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council/Health Service Executive Arts and Health Partnership are delighted to continue to support arts activities that are especially welcoming to people with dementia and their families this autumn.

The Azure tours which are guided by specially trained facilitators will focus on the upcoming exhibition over & over + over and over by artist Susan Connolly. Come and join us and explore artworks with time for a cup of tea.

The Musical Memories Choir, which caters for older people and is specifically welcoming to people affected by dementia and their families and carers, continues to meet every Thursday from 11.00am to 12.30pm in Deansgrange Library.
