Musicians In Residence Concert

A Showcase performance of a work in progress 'Judith', an opera by Gráinne Mulvey, performed by Elizabeth Hilliard.  Wolfgang Thompson's libretto, based on Virginia Woolf's time in Oxford, explores various aspects of her life, addressing issues of feminism and mental health.

Call out for storytellers

dlr's Storyteller in Residence Fiona Dowling, and Turkish storyteller Senem Donatan will co-facilitate a 4-day workshop in Tandem Storytelling (where the telling of a story is shared between two performers), culminating in a public performance. During the workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside Turkish storytellers and learn the skills of bilingual tandem storytelling.
This free opportunity is aimed at non-professional storytellers. You need to be available from 19 - 22 April and the afternoon of 23 April.

Please send expressions of interest, detailing any previous experience in storytelling or performance to 
storyoffiona@gmail.com

Friday 8 April @ 5pm.

Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival is over for another year.
 
We had over 60 great events for readers of all ages and interests.

The Signalman’s Son

The signalman's son

Umbrella Theatre Company presents the première of The Signalman's Son, a new play by Gerard Dalton.

The play is a powerful contemporary drama about the family of a railway signalman in an Irish midland town, after the collapse of the Celtic Tiger.

Umbrella Theatre Company has received an Arts Grant from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in 2016 in relation to this new work.
