This commission opportunity is open to artists and arts groups working with street art/exterior wall painting as their primary medium and it also open to visual artists working in a gallery/exhibition context who may wish to collaborate with an appropriate technician to realise a temporary painting on a large outdoor scale. The location of the handball court and specified wall for the commission is in Rockfield Park, Blackrock, Co Dublin.

SCREEN START - Start Your Own Business Programme for Film, Television and Animation 

Closing date for applications: Wednesday, September 28th, 5.00 p.m. 

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and Wicklow Local Enterprise Offices are partnering to deliver a Start Your Own Business Programme specifically designed for those working in Film, Television and Animation. The programme is aimed at anyone considering starting their own business within the screen or content creation industry. It will be delivered by the Entrepreneurs Academy, with expert guest speakers from the screen industry.

This course runs from 6.30pm-9.30pm on ten consecutive Wednesday evenings (5th October – 7th December 2022). It will be delivered online; however, the first session will be in Dún Laoghaire and the final session will be in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow.  This programme is funded by Enterprise Ireland and is also supported by dlr Economic Development Unit and dlr Arts Office.  Full details here.

Arts and Inclusion Commissions 2022

These commission opportunities are aimed at artists, arts groups or arts organisations working in the area of arts and inclusion – a key focus of the Arts Council’s ‘Equality, Human Rights and Diversity Policy and Strategy’. The scope of these commissions includes Arts and Disability, Arts and Health, Cultural Diversity and the Arts, and Arts and Older People. It also encompasses the broader areas outlined in the Arts Council’s Policy, where inequality in accessing and participating in the cultural life of the County still exists today.

These commission opportunities are open to all artforms.

Funded by the Arts Council and supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

dlr Arts Office is looking for suitably qualified individuals or organisations to research, consult and collate a community and cultural asset-based overview of the Kilternan and Glencullen areas of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.

This research is being commissioned by dlr Arts Office and funded by The Arts Council. The fee is €5,500 to include all associated costs and VAT.
