The successful applicant/s will engage the children and early childhood educators in one of our local community childcare facilities to learn from, be inspired by and develop their ideas. It gives the successful applicant/s time to reflect on and develop the work with their target audience.

Public space should be designed with everyone in mind, but sometimes our public spaces let us down as we get older.
Public Age is an open call out for architect-led multidisciplinary teams to explore how our public spaces can work better for older people to ensure our public spaces contribute to, rather than inhibit, our health, wellbeing and positive ageing. Public Age is commissioned by the dlrCountyCouncil/HSE Arts and Health Partnership, with additional grant-aid support from the Arts Council, and run by the Irish Architecture Foundation.
The winning team will begin work on this collaborative project in January 2017 and with a budget of €20,000 will create something imaginative and memorable to highlight the importance of inclusive public space.
