If you like singing, dancing, making, baking, gardening, painting, drawing, playing, writing, coding, talking, organising, performing, listening to music or just meeting people, come along to the Civic Campus to explore new ideas for Ballyogan.

dlr LexIcon Municipal Gallery
There is lots to get involved with this February in the Gallery’s Learning Programme.
Join Storyteller Jean Ryan on Tuesday 7 from 6.30-7.30pm; Jean will take inspiration from the current exhibitions.
On Thursday 16 from 7-8.30pm, exhibiting artists Catherine Delaney and Fiona Hackett will be talking to Dr. Maeve Connolly, Director of the MA Art & Research Collaboration at IADT. This is part of our popular Artists in Conversation series.
Our children’s workshops are fully booked but we are still taking names for the waitlist.
All these events are free but booking is essential.

Deadline: Open Call for Exhibition Proposals

Monday 6 February, 12 noon
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council invites proposals for its 2018/2019 exhibition programme for the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon. The callout is open to professional artists, curators and arts organisations to apply. Proposals for solo, two person or group shows are welcome; a minimum of 2 separate exhibitions will be programmed. At least one will specifically feature the work of artists connected to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.

Talk by writer & poet David Butler

Blackrock Library
Free, just drop in
At this special free event, David will talk about his Blackrock Sequence project and present some of the work in progress, followed by a Q&A. David would welcome peoples’ memories of the area over a cup of tea and coffee. This will appeal to local groups and anyone with an interest in the local history and literature.
This project is managed by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office, with support from dlr Library Service.

2017 dlr Arts Grants announced
|

dlr Arts Office runs an annual grant scheme. Grants are available to provide financial assistance to individual artists, arts groups and arts organisations engaged in arts projects or events at local or county level and to support the professional development and arts practice of individual artists, arts groups and organisations.
