Emerging Artist Bursaries

Emerging Artist Bursaries support individual emerging artists in all disciplines from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to develop and further their practice through the creation of new work at this vital stage in their career development. 

Successful recipients will receive an award of €2,000 for the development and creation of new work.

‘Small Wonders’ for Cruinniú na nÓg 2022

Join us for ‘Small Wonders’ on the annual national day of Creativity & Culture for Children and Young People, Cruinniú na nÓg 2022. ‘Small Wonders’ is a new child-centred multisensory creative experience for and with children from 1-2 years and their caregivers. Artists Niamh Lawlor, George Higgs, Sarah Fitzgibbon and Orla Kelly are collaborating with children from the First Friends Service and supported by dlr CYSPC and Barnardos. 

This commission and all dlr Cruinniú na nÓg events and programmes are kindly funded by Creative Ireland.

dlr Creative Ireland Bursary - Professional Development and Mentorship Bursaries 2022
The artist's professional development and mentorship bursaries will offer the opportunity to support and invest in the capacity of professional artists in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Examples of things the bursary can support include short term training courses, residencies in artist retreats, a skills exchange or mentorship with a more experienced practitioner. Bursaries will be awarded to a maximum of €2,000.

With classic rave tunes and pumpin’ beats, you and your mini-ravers can get lost in music together, with a playlist specially curated by Baby Rave resident DJ, Kwame Daniels. Relive your dancing days with uplifting tracks you’ll recognise.

Baby Rave is a participatory dance event for children under 4 and their accompanying adults encouraging parents and babies to dance together and explore rhythm and music.

Age Recommendation: 0 – 4 years

Funded by the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
