Abstract painter, Damien Flood has created a series of paintings that explore geographical elements of Dún Laoghaire and investigate the cultural histories of the landscape. Make sure you come and see it as Irish Times Visual Art Critic, Aidan Dunne said "it is an engaging show".

Final Call for Children's Curator

The deadline for the Children’s Curator closes at 12 noon this Thursday 18 August.
We are seeking expressions of interest from curators who are interested in working with primary school children,
school based creative practitioners and teachers to collaboratively curate an exhibition programme for the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire, May 2017.

Chambers Ireland Award Nomination

Chambers Ireland have announced the shortlist for the Excellence in Local Government Awards 2016 with a total of twenty three local authorities shortlisted over sixteen categories We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Sustaining the Arts category for the dlr Performing Arts Awards.
In 2015 Jonathan Reynolds, Ciarán Taylor and the trio of Niamh Lawlor, Carol Walsh and Alicia Falvey were commissioned through the awards to develop new work that builds in accessibility for the audience from the beginning. The awards were designed to respond to the need for better access to cultural activities at local level for people with disabilities.

After two incredibly successful years Music in Monkstown is back from the 9 - 11 September for its third festival. The aim of the festival is to offer the people of Monkstown and the surrounding area chamber music of the highest international standard. This year is no exception with five fantastic concerts.
