Open House Dublin 2016 is taking place from the 14-16 October.
dlr LexIcon will host a workshop with architect/artist Blaithín Quinn were children can design and make their very own 3-d creation through play while experimenting with diverse art materials.

As part of the Lines of Negotiation Exhibition our event Talk of the Mountains has a special line up. Join Tricia McGrath from the Dublin Mountains Partnership; hill walker and photographer Lyn Kennedy; and Shay Walsh from the Mountain Meitheal group as they explore the mountains of the local area through conversation and photographs.

Artists in Residence UCD College of Science 2017

Closing date for applications is Sunday 13 November 2016

The UCD College of Science, in partnership with UCD Parity Studios and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Arts Office is very pleased to announce an open call for an artist in residence.

A one year residency is offered to professional artists. This includes studio space at UCD Parity Studios, a fee of €7,000.00 and access to the lectures, research seminars and other resources of the College.

Final Reminders for Arts Grants & Gallery Commission

The deadline for arts grants applications is Monday 17 October 2016

Grants are available to provide financial assistance to individual artists, arts groups and arts organisations engaged in arts projects or events at local or county level and to support the professional development and arts practice of individual artists, arts groups and organisations.

The deadline for applications for the Visual Art Commission for 2018 and 2019 is Wednesday 19 October at 12 noon.

This commission will see two visual artists create a new body of work which will culminate in an exhibition (by each artist) in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon.

Dublin Animation Film Festival 2016

Dublin Animation Film Festival 2016 invites you to experience the magic created by talented Irish and international animators.

Taking place in the Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, on 22 October, the festival includes screenings of a feature film, the shortlisted animated short films by Irish international studios and students and the DAFF2016 awards ceremony.
 
Dublin Animation Film Festival is funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Dalkey Creates

Dalkey Creates Festival takes place this week from 13 - 16 October. Offering live events and performances each night, including Open Mic, Jennifer Johnston, 'After Sarah Miles' and 'The Prodger', as well as Poets Corner and a Literary Walk, there are of course plenty of exciting writing courses to choose from. 

Dalkey Creates is funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
