Featured Vendor: River Run Farm
Farmer Anna was just putting the finishing touches on her display when we wandered under the canopy for a quick chat. Lettuce stacked high, signage clear and bold, kale perfectly piled. She was ready for another beautiful day on the grass at Wallingford Farmers Market.
River Run Farm
was established in 2013 and they have been attending Seattle farmers markets for 4 seasons. This is their first season at Wallingford and we welcome their spinach with open arms! Look forward to a lot of lettuce, kale, chard, root vegetables, and lots of spinach! They focus on cool season green vegetables and the climate in Sequim is perfect for growing these nutrient rich foods. Speaking of rich, the farmers at River Run are very focused on their soil health. They rotate their crops, plant cover crop, and use low impact farming methods to till and harvest - all methods that add nutrients back to the soil.
"All markets have different flavors. What we enjoy most about Ballard and Wallingford is seeing our food go home with people to get eaten. The connection we make with returning customers is so satisfying."
