Greetings MMAMTA Members! I hope your summer is off to a good start!

Publicity Chair opening

The position of MMAMTA Publicity Chair for 2015-2016 is open! Are you interested? Or is there someone you would nominate to serve in this position? Please let me know. I'd like for us to have this position filled by ealry August.

Here is the position description:
  • Serves indefinitely, depending on how long an individual is willing to serve.
  • Expand and promote MMAMTA via television and radio stations, public service announcements, newsletters, programs/sessions, newspaper articles, email, phone contacts, etc. Work with chairs of all events and work to publicize events through these media.
  • Send updates and publicity material to webmaster for posting on our website.

Spring Luncheon Meeting minutes

Thank you to all who attended our Spring Luncheon meeting! Please find the minutes of the meeting here. I ask that Chairs read through them (especially ones who were not able to attend due to work schedule) to ensure they are up-to-date with decisions regarding next year.



Susan Q. Duggan is directing an adapted English version of the comic opera, [Women are like that!] for the CMU Summer Light Opera at Central Methodist University, Fayette MO at The Kountz Recital Hall to be presented Friday and Saturday June 12th and 13th at 7:30pm and June 14th at 2pm.

Mizzou Piano Camps

Are you looking for summer musical activities for your students? Mizzou offers a combined Junior High and High School Piano Camp as well as a brand new camp for younger pianists (ages 6-10).

Music of the World Piano Camp: June 22-26, 8:30am-12:30pm

The students will explore music and dance from around the world and create their own traditional instruments. 

Piano Camp: June 28-July 3

Open to Junior High and High School piano students entering grades 6-12 and graduating seniors. All students should have at least three years of piano study, and must submit a short video audition recording and recommendation from their current piano teacher.
