New dates announced for the European Regional Pre-Assembly in Warsaw


The Conference of European Churches will hold the European Regional Pre-Assembly from 25 to 27 February 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, ahead of the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches (WCC) taking place same year. CEC’s European Regional Pre-Assembly has been rescheduled due to the COVID-19 related uncertainties.

CCME holds its written assembly


The Churches' Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME) held its general assembly on 16 October in written format due to COVID-19, with CCME members having cast their votes in advance. Their new executive committee was elected for the period 2020-23, with Prof. Dr Goos Minderman elected as moderator (chairperson), nominated by the Dutch Council of Churches. Read more

European Anti-trafficking Day: The vulnerable man next to you is the priority here and now, says bishop Damaschin


European Day Against Trafficking in Human Beings is “a day of gratitude, awareness and memory,” His Grace Assistant Bishop Damaschin of Dorna said on Saturday in a message urging everyone to be more present, more attentive to what is happening to their neighbour. “We are all responsible,” he wrote.
