One of the most concerning issues with industrial wind turbines for the communities in which they are placed and proposed is sound, both in the form of noise and infrasound, that residents do not hear but can feel.
Yates and Somerset are fortunate to have a state representative, Senator Rob Ortt, who is concerned with how the expanding number of projects in his district will affect the health and safety of his constituents.
He is sponsoring a presentation by several experts on the health impacts of industrial wind projects on Tuesday, Sept. 10, on the Erie Community College campus in Williamsville. The goal is to educate all of us - constituents, residents of New York and our elected leaders and officials - on what the impacts are and how they affect nearby residents.
