We have important events scheduled in April and hope to see you there!! Please mark your calendars.

FALCONRY & RAPTOR PRESENTATION

Saturday, April 14, 1 p.m.SkyHunters USA will be presenting an educational program about raptors. The history of native and exotic raptors and the global tradition of falconry will be discussed as well as a flight demonstration with a Harris’s Hawk.

Admission is free for this family-friendly event at Barker Central School, 1628 Quaker Rd., in the Pratt Elementary gym (Haight Road entrance).

Live birds of prey up will be featured, including a Golden Eagle, Harris’s Hawk, Barn Owl, and American Kestrel. You are welcome to take photos of the birds or have your picture taken with a Golden Eagle ($10 donation to SkyHunters) or a Barn Owl ($5 donation to Skyhunters).

INFORMATION SESSIONS – UPDATE & STIPULATIONS

Find out what is going on with Lighthouse Wind and how you can help! If everyone stays engaged we can win this fight.

 

We will be holding two information sessions in April. An update on the Lighthouse Wind project will be discussed, primarily addressing the stipulations process. Apex recently filed their “stipulations” for the project. We will be discussing what they are, how you can participate during the comment period and possible next steps in the process.

 

These information sessions will be held in both Somerset and Yates.

 

Tuesday, April 17, 7 p.m. – former Assembly of God church, 8400 Haight Rd., Barker (near the corner of Hartland Rd. and Haight Rd.)

 

Wednesday, April 18, 7 p.m. – White Birch Golf Course, 1515 N Lyndonville Rd, Lyndonville
