Happy New Year, everyone! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season.

Although there haven't been any new developments with Lighthouse Wind, we are keeping track of what is going on around the state with other projects. One of the ways we continue our fight is by voicing our concerns in print. On December 29, 2019, the Buffalo News published an op-ed by SOS President Pam Atwater. It discusses the push for large scale renewable energy projects in Upstate New York and the need for rural residents to be heard.

As our state develops a plan for implementing its clean energy goals, rural voices, including those with objections to large-scale industrial projects in rural residential communities, should be front and center.

You’ll be hearing from us again soon. As always, we appreciate your support!
