Upcoming Town Meetings
We hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th celebration! It was great to see and talk with so many supporters in Lyndonville on Tuesday.
This week includes two local town board meetings and a public hearing.
Wednesday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m.: Somerset Town Board meeting, Somerset Town Hall.
Thursday, July 13 at 7 p.m.: Yates Town Board meeting, Yates Town Hall.
Thursday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.: (immediately following the board meeting) the Yates Town Board will hold a public hearing on Lighthouse Wind’s application for a special use permit for a meteorological (MET) tower*. The public hearing offers an opportunity for the board to hear comments from local citizens on this matter.
Please consider attending any or all of these meetings, especially the public hearing. It is important to let Apex know what we think of their application.
* MET towers are used at potential project sites to take wind resource measurements. They typically stand just under 200 feet tall.
August 27th – Save the date! Our summer fundraiser will be taking place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the White Birch in Lyndonville. We’ll have music and a basket auction. More information will be coming soon. Join us for a fun evening!
As always, we appreciate your support. We hope to see you soon!
