We Need Your Voice!

Both towns of Yates and Somerset would like to amend their wind laws and zoning to better protect their residents and local environment. People who live here, vacation here, and who care about our towns are concerned about health, safety, property values, migratory flyways, and natural habitat with the proposed industrialization of the two towns by up to seventy 600+ foot tall industrial wind turbines.

Each town needs to hold a public hearing, and town board approval is required to enact these zoning changes. Below you will find links to the specific changes being proposed in each town. SOS needs your voice to lend support in this endeavor for both towns. We hope to see you next week!
