Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Wattblock team.  We will be working hard throughout the break but also taking time to enjoy life with family and reflecting on 2014.

Closing out the year Wattblock won the UNSW Shenzhen pitching competition. We now have a state sponsored trip to the city of "Infinite Energy" in April 2015, China's emissions trading leader.
Wattblock is looking for partners in China to assist in proving global scalability of our core technology.  We are also planning to visit Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.  Please reach out if you feel you can assist.

Australian buildings are consuming 19% of our energy and contributing 23% of our carbon emissions.  Since launching in September Wattblock reports have identified over $500,000 in wasted energy.  That's got us excited about promoting the service to a wider audience with our new campaign to find "Australia's Biggest Waster"

We met with Telstra CEO David Thodey last week. Telstra's energy footprint represents 2% of total energy consumption in Australia, and this is a hot topic with top level management visibility.  We also met with Tesla and discussed their roll out strategy for charging stations in Australia.  Tesla vehicles will use Telstra for 3G services in Australia.

Wattblock Data Engine:

Keep safe over the holiday period and enjoy the break. Tell all apartment owners you know to create a Wattblock Report for their building ... and make saving energy and saving the planet one of your top New Year resolutions.

I pledge to reduce energy waste in 2015.
