Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
The team at Wattblock would like to wish all our customers and partners a happy festive season. We look forward to working with you again in 2017.

1000 strata energy reports
Over the past two years, Wattblock has been collecting and anlalysing data on different types of stratas. We have visited over 250 strata buildings in Sydney and Brisbane and now created our 1000th energy report for a strata. However, that represents ~0.5% of the multi-tenant buildings in Australia, so we are just getting started.

We are now getting noticed, appearing on Artesian Venture Partners Clean Energy Ecosystem startup map for the first time!
Wattblock Offering Energy Audits
Wattblock has completed training with the Energy Efficiency Council on the world-leading AS:NZS 3598.1:2014 standard and is now offering Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 audits to strata customers. Wattblock's introductory pricing for a strata common area Type 1 energy audit is $1,500 so call us today. Of course, each energy audit comes with one of our award-winning Wattblock Energy Reports!

NSW Government Climate Change Briefing
Wattblock was invited to attend the NSW Climate Change Briefing delivered by Minister for the Environment, the Hon. Mark Speakman. Wattblock attended a follow-up session organised by Office of Environment and Heritage on the proposed $500m plan over 5 years to make NSW a renewable energy leader. Wattblock has submitted a formal response to the proposed Climate Change Strategic Plan including recommendations on common areas of apartment buildings.

NSW Government Energy Entrepreneur Consultation
One of the NSW Climate Change policy areas is Advanced Energy. Wattblock was invited by the NSW Department of Industry to attend an energy startup consultation session alongside Wattwatchers, Suncrowd, Kairospower, Ecologicapps, Sourced Energy and Vellocet. This follows our formal submission to Department of Industry on Sydney-based energy incubators.

Wattblock Team Update
Wattblock farewells Michael Schuster who is completing his second stint with Wattblock. He will be heading to the U.S. and looking for renewable energy work in Seattle, so reach out if you have any contacts there. We also welcome on-board the new "WattApp" team of interns consisting of Waylon Fung, Saransh Tiwari, Thomas Rowlatt, Edward Cho and Indranil Chakravarty from Real Skills Education (RSE). Finally, Alexander Prideaux's "Digital Solar and Strata" research paper is now available here.

Michael Crouch Innovation Centre
Wattblock would like to thank the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre for renewing Wattblock's residency as a Catalyst-in-Residence for the first half of 2017. Wattblock now appears on the UNSW Startrail map as well as on Blue Chilli's Sydney Startrail map.
