Wattblock has created it's first electric vehicle recharge report for a strata building investigating options for basement carpark charging solutions.

Should you string dedicated lines to the car space for each electric vehicle owner?

Or try a swipe card system?

How many electric vehicles can you simultaneously recharge before the lift stops operating?

Is everyone who buys an electric vehicle going to buy a Tesla, or will you also need to recharge Nissan Leaf, BMW i3 and others in the future?

Can you estimate how much driving and therefore charging you need for different drivers? Wattblock knows.

Wattblock designs its first advertisement

Featured to the right is our first ever print ad.

It is targetted at strata managers rather than strata committees.

Designed in-house by Morgan Warnock from the Brisbane office, we'd love to get your feedback.
Signs partnership agreement with Ecovantage
Wattblock has completed training on energy saving certificates with Ecovantage, who are an accredited certificate provider of government rebates for LED lighting, solar and solar thermal retrofits. Ecovantage will aggregate eligible certificates from Wattblock LED lighting jobs and trade them on our behalf.

Startmate Demo Day
Wattblock attended the Startmate demo day and cheered on Pylon, an innovative Aussie startup developing solar monitoring and analytics solutions for commercial photovoltaic. We were also impressed by Workyard, a referral platform for tradies to book jobs with other tradies.

Queensland Strata Manager trialling Wattblock
This week we launched our first trial of "Wattblock + strata manager co-branded energy reports" in Queensland.

Other Activities
  • Met with a UNSW PhD candidate focused on solar on residential strata
  • Attended a solar roundtable organised by City of Sydney
  • Update meeting with Office of Environment & Heritage
  • Survived a bomb-scare evacuation at UNSW, which later turned out to be a uni student experiment!
Our customer engagement starts with a free report identifying energy waste in buildings. If you have not already done so, create a Wattblock Report for an Australian building.
