NSW Innovate Grant
Wattblock in collaboration with Jamesons Strata Management and UNSW Innovations has received a NSW Innovate grant to develop and pilot an "Energy Saving Platform for Strata Managers".  The platform will provide portal access to utility usage data and sustainability roadmaps for strata customers.

There are hundreds of strata managers in NSW who can potentially benefit from this platform through improving the services they offer, in addition to driving job growth for sustainability positions, electricians & solar installers.
The NSW Innovate grant is in the "energy services and technologies" category, sponsored by Department of Industry, Skills and Regional Development.

Expanding into Water Analytics
Excessive water consumption in residential strata buildings is another compelling problem. Following capture of 6 weeks of logger data and input from Sydney Water, we have now integrated water analytics into our sustainability reports. This will assist strata buildings in reducing their water consumption by up to 25% and reducing their strata levies by up to 17%.

eLearning Course now Live!
In collaboration with eClassroom, the 45 minute eLearning course developed by Wattblock entitled "Retrofitting Multi-tenant Buildings for Energy Efficiency" is now available. It is recognised by the NSW ARB, BA of Qld, AB of WA, Work Stds Tas, PIA, AILA & BDA for CPD points. This complements the excellent face-to-face training that Morgan Warnock has been doing for Wattblock.

Strata Community Australia (NSW) Innovation Finalist
Wattblock has been selected as a finalist in the CHU Strata Community Awards in the Innovation Category. The winner will be announced at a dinner at The Star on Friday 15th July.

Quay West
Wattblock's algorithms have now crunched the energy consumption of one of Australia's most prestigious residential towers, Quay West. Quay West is located next to the Shangri-la Hotel on Sydney harbour's foreshore. This adds to nearby Wattblock clients including the Stamford, The Quay and Pullman Quay Grand.

Moving into Michael Crouch Innovation Centre
Wattblock has been selected as one of 8 startup companies to move into the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre on the UNSW campus. Congratulations to other muru-D startups: Disrupt Sports, Youchews, Instrument Works, Helian Systems and Uprise who were also selected to be Catalysts-In-Residence.

Griffith Intern Program Completed
Wattblock would like to thank Grace, Harrison and Thomas from Griffith Uni for completing their internship with Wattblock. They have all published their research projects now into Solar PV, Battery Storage and Electric Vehicle Recharge. Their projects have been published on Wattblock's Strata Energy News.
