Croxley into new External Competition!
Tring & District Camera Club have launched a new interclub competition that celebrates the growing interest in the genre of ‘Intimate Scapes'.
Croxley will be one of 12 clubs in the CACC region taking part. Each club will enter 5 Intimate Scapes, each taken by a different photographer. A sixth ‘tie breaker’ image will also be supplied and this can be taken by another photographer, or one of those chosen for the main 5 images. There will also be a prize for the best club and the author of the best image. The first competition evening is set for Thursday 24th March 2022 and will be held at The Baptist Hall in Tring. Up to 6 members of each participating club are welcome to attend.
So what is an 'Intimate Scape'? Let's look at the brief...
"An intimate scape is one in which you’re selecting and isolating one small part of a scene that captures your interest and presents an ‘intimate feel’. It might be a smaller part of a wider scape, it might also be a smaller composition that focuses on shapes, lines, colours, textures or patterns. It is a view of a scene in which any object of focus, is surrounded by its context."
The final list of Participants are:
Croxley, Ealing, Field End, Harpenden, ImageZ, Kidlington, Leighton Buzzard, Maidenhead, Oxford, Pinner, Princes Risborough, Wallingford, Woodley & Tring. No Watford or Amersham!
More to follow.
