Mike Brankin's 'Death Lear' print went into the NW Fed finals this weekend, as the sole print entered by Croxley since we didn't do so well in earlier rounds. Stuart, George and Denise were there, and their hearts were in their mouths as the judge held it back, praising it for its printing quality, composition and character. By the end he'd held back about 10 of the 30-or-so entries, all stunning images, and unfortunately Mike's didn't quite make the top 3 but a fantastic achievement nonetheless. Remember, all these finalists were winners from the top clubs in the region, so the standard was amazing.

A Rosebowl To Remember!

Earlier this month we were up against Kidlington, Wantage and Hemel Hempstead, who were hosting Round 3. For once, instead of coming last, we comfortably out-scored the first two and came a fairly close second to Hemel. Congrats go to Gordon Calder, Mike Brankin and Steve Bailey for getting maximum points (20 each) for their images, and to Vanessa Lacey for scoring a 19.  Sadly it wasn't quite enough for a win, but after the disappointment of earlier rounds it felt like a resounding success!
