Our Post Processing Challenge Needs You!
Last week we launched our Post Processing Challenge.
The idea is that you download two sample images from our website, edit them using your preferred software, techniques and style, and then we compare the results at the club next week.
The only rules are that the downloaded images must form the majority of the final image - anything else is up to you. Feel free to change the colours, tones and contrast, add in a sky or different backdrop, the world is your Photoshop (or Affinity) oyster!
Download the two images from the members area of the club website now!
When you're done, simply upload them in Photo Entry by 23:59 on Tuesday 28th April and we'll take a look at them next Thursday.
We've seen this image from Ant perform well in the PDI league last season when it was processed in monochrome - what will you choose to create in our Post Processing Challenge?
Perhaps you prefer landscapes, or a bit of urban exploration? Well in that case the image below might be more up your street! It's lacking a bit of atmosphere at the moment - what would you do to make it have more impact?
Don't forget to show us the results by uploading them in Photo Entry by next Tuesday night.
30th April *new* Post-Processing Challenge - The Results!
Upload your challenge images through Photo Entry to share your techniques.
7th May Judge, Jury and Executioner!
Online talk with Steven Galvin
Steven has enthusiastically and successfully competed at club level and above since 2006, and has been judging since early 2017. As a poacher and gamekeeper he has a fascinating insight into the world of club competitions. His candid observations are thought provoking, often humourous, informative, perhaps tongue-in-cheek, but always positive.
