This week... Still Life, Allegory, Vanitas and Momento Mori
Rojer Weightman from Stoke Poges Photo Club will be explaining the history of - and differences between - still life and its variants in Art & Photography.
Thank you to everyone who brought along food, lighting or props to our Food Photography workshop last week.

It was a great evening and I hope we all came away with some new photo ideas.

If you'd like to take a look at the notes that Cat had prepared, take a look at the link below.
Food Photography Presentation

On Tuesday 25th February Harrow Camera Club are pleased to have Julia Wainwright ARPS MPAGB, who I am sure you know is one of our members, presenting her LATEST talk Natural Wonders of Ethiopia.

We will travel with Julia on a photographic journey around Ethiopia exploring the rugged Western and Eastern Highlands and the Great Rift Valley that bisects them.

In this talk we will take in the spectacular scenery of the Simien and Bale Mountains (including the Sanetti Plateau) showing some of the varied and sometimes endangered wildlife.  In the Rift Valley, with its lakes and savannah-like National Parks, we will encounter a large variety of Mammals and Birds.  Along the way we will also hear a little about the fascinating people and culture of one of Africa's most diverse countries.

We would like to invite your members to join us for this evening and would be grateful if you would circulate this information.  This is a new talk that Julia has recently produced, and I am sure it will be an evening of fantastic photography with an interesting commentary.

At Harrow Camera Club we charge a modest £3 guest fee, which includes tea or coffee.  Harrow Camera Club can be found at the Guide Headquarters, Leeway Close, Hatch End, HA5 4SE.  The talk will start at 8:00pm and the HQ will be open from 7:30pm.  The HQ is on the edge of Grimsdyke Car Park, which is free in the evenings, but it can get busy if you arrive just as we start so an early arrival should ensure you a space.
